This imbedded bowl is the sister to the Tree Crotch Plate.  It too measures 10 inches across and stands 2 inches tall.  The center bowl portion is 4 inches across.  This is made from Black Locust and is from where the tree splits into two branches otherwise known as a tree crotch.  It is finished with lacquer and wax.
